Free Eye Test; Save Money; Save your Sight!

Macular Week

Macular Week is the Macular Society's annual charity event and is meant to raise awareness for age-related macular degeneration (aka "AMD").

The macula is a part of the retina near the back of the eyeball. Light entering the eye is focussed on the macula enabling detailed central vision. As we get older the macula naturally hardens and becomes less efficient - this is AMD. It is the leading cause of loss of sight in the developing world; over 600,000 people in the UK suffer from this condition!

Unfortunately there is no cure for AMD but it can be prevented by taking the right precautions, namely leading a healthy lifestyle and having regular eye tests to check your eyes' health.

Although Macular Week ends on the 3rd July, the voucher will be available for download until the 10th July and is valid up to 31st Aug.
