Invest in Tandem and Atom app only banks

Monzo's pitch video

Imagine opening a full bank account in 30 seconds from your phone. Or sending money to friends and splitting bills with a single swipe. Imagine travelling abroad and being welcomed by your bank on arrival, with zero foreign exchange fees. It’s banking that feels like magic.

Monzo is this bank, complete with a UK banking licence, all core technology built in-house and a delightful UX.

Last year we raised £1 million in just 96 seconds here on Crowdcube in the fastest equity crowdfunding raise in the world, ever. Since then, growth has been fantastic, and we now have more than 100,000 people using the Monzo app.

In 2017, we plan to launch the Monzo current account and reach hundreds of thousands more customers. In the short-term, Monzo plan to make money by lending out deposits, without hidden fees or charges, while long-term, profit sharing and affiliate fees on third-party products plan to be the main source of revenue as part of our marketplace model.

We’ve reserved £2.5 million for you, our community, to invest as part of a £22 million total raise so that you can own part of the bank.

There are other App Banks coming soon too like Atom and Tandem. tandem i also chucked a few quid at seeing as the ebay guru has thrown money at Tandem too and recently House of Frazer invested in Tandem. Only Tandem and now Monzo have I had chance to inest in on Seedrs website and Crowdcube.I see this as a 7-10 year investment.

Multi Bank login from one place is just some of the features these app banks will be able to achieve.

The way I see it the High street is dead only Nationwide now offering £100 for inviting a friend and 5% interest on balances of up to £2500 when you switch with 2 DD's (easy done just £1 to unicef and£1 to shelter).

This links up with my other post a while back about House of Frazer and Tandem-

and another on Tandem-

investments just as much as you can gain) it may be worth highlighting that with any investment there is a bit to gain and a bit to lose if it doesn't all go to plan on this one.
