Going Bananas on a rainy day........

My job on the weekends is selling fruit and vegetables in our local market, our prices vary according to our buying costs, our usual price for bananas is 3lb in weight for £1 in money, i sometimes hear customers saying that they had so many bananas last week they ended up throwing some away.....I do know we live in a throw away society and there are tonnes of good food being thrown away everyday by the big supermarkets, but its something i try not to do, so i tell the customers not to throw the bananas away, if they think they have to many, pop a couple in the freezer, you must take of the skin otherwise it will go black, pop them in a plastic container and leave for a rainy day....When that rainy day arrives....Take the bananas out of the freezer and leave for ten minutes in a dish, chop into small peices and cover with cream, you will find that the frozen banana will partialy freeze the cream , add some chopped nuts or a crumbled digestive or hobnob biscuit , sprinkle it over the top, and there you have it, the best desert for a rainy day you will have eaten for a long time.....Happy rainy days.....
