Etihad has launched a 50% off worldwide sale - and it includes flights to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, and Au

In the travel world, September is typically a quiet season for airlines, as holidaymakers return from the annual family break - and the back to school blues kick in.

But, if you take advantage of the lull - and can travel out of season - travellers can get some amazing savings this time of year with the likes of Norwegian, easyJet and British Airways all launching cheap flights for travel throughout late 2016 and 2017 .

Etihad Airways has today dropped a 50% off sale on all seats from Europe - with flights to international hotspots Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo flights down by almost half price - but only when you book before 6 September 2016, and travel before June 2017.

Deals include London to Australia (via Abu Dhabi) from £565 return , Abu Dhabi from £352 return and Bangkok (via Abu Dhabi) from £406 return .

The half price reduction is valid on economy and business fares - but you must complete your journey before 30 June 2017.

To make your saving, head to Etihad Airways online , enter your dates and destination in the travel form and select your out/inbound dates and times.
