Switch from Sky to NOWTV and get the same channels for £7 a month or less!

Got Sky TV? We did, and we were paying something ridiculous like £21 for the most basic non-HD package and mainly watching kids TV and Game of Thrones.

“But I can’t get rid of Sky, I need to watch The Walking Dead,” I hear you scream. Worry not. What if I were to tell you that you can have all the main Sky channels and shows – on demand – for less than seven quid a month?

Now I know there are ‘legally dubious’ options out there and I will not be covering them. We simply switched to Sky’s own Netflix-challenger NowTV – and we watch everything we watched before at a third of the cost.

It has all the main channels: Including Sky 1, Fox, Sky Atlantic and for an extra tenner a month you can add on-demand movies (personally I think Netflix offers better value for movies) and you can add Sky Sports for £6.99 a day (for Formula 1), or also £12-ish a week or £30-ish a month if that’s what floats your boat.

Even better – when you buy a box, it comes with a voucher for a few months of entertainment, a month of movies or a couple of days of sport which basically means the box itself is free. And if you go to Amazon you can get a six month Entertainment pass for about £30, that’s a fiver a month for the main Sky channels!

It all comes through your internet, so you’ll need a robust internet usage allowance and a stable connection of 2MB/s minimum, but it saves you a fortune overall and the on-demand content has no adverts!
