Skip the tourist traps

If you think about the city you live in, you can often notice some restaurants, cafes and bars where you or your friends would never go, but are always packed with people, mainly tourists. These places have usually much higher price, they are crowded and the quality of their food and drinks is actually not that good either, but they attract people as they are located right at the main street or central square. These are called tourists traps.

So how would you avoid such traps when travelling and find the best places to go to with reasonable price and best quality. There is a website that helps you with that. It is called Like A Local Guide:

The idea is that local people from all around the world write about their favorite places in the city, offering you a chance to get more local and authentic experience and save money by avoiding the expensive tourist traps.

Look up your next travel destination and see what you can find. Also, feel free to publish your own tips about your home city. Quite many people even use the site in their home town to find out where other people go to spend their free time. A secret tip: the site sends a free tote bag for everyone who writes 5 tips about their city.

Save money and get better experience when travelling - sounds good, doesn't it.
