Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping events of the year, taking place the day after Thanksgiving in the US, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November.
Black Friday is followed by Cyber Monday, when many retailers continue their offers.
Since becoming popular in the UK, Black Friday has become known for deals on everything from phones and tech to home appliances and fashion. Many retailers also start their offers before the day itself.

How long does Black Friday last?
The official Black Friday sales last from the Friday after Thanksgiving till the following Monday, three days later. Then there's another day of sales called Cyber Monday.
